Demonstrations & Community Education
Rio EMS is available for demonstrations and visits to your events and organizations.  Whether it simply to understand better what it is that EMS does or to have us help you with some specific community education needs, Rio EMS is dedicated to working with those in the community to increase awareness about EMS and health related topics.  For more information or to set up a visit please contact EMS Chief Eric Wakeman.

Fire & EMS Career Exploring is open to young men and women ages 14 (and completed the 8th grade) and not yet 18 years old with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of Fire & EMS.

Fire & EMS Exploring is a hands-on program that exposes participants to many career experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service activities. The primary goals of the program are to help young adults choose a career path within Fire and EMS and to challenge them to become responsible citizens of their communities and country.

Rio’s Explorer Program meets once a month, typically on the last Monday of each month, at the Rio Fire & EMS Station.  For more information regarding this program or how to apply to be an explorer contact an Explorer Advisor or Chief Eric Wakeman at 920-992-5605.
